Bye Bye Bleach....and Perm Hair

Hello love dolls.....I wanted to show you guys what not having a perm for 1 year looks like....and remember I also cut my hair last year in February 2012 into a bob.  I took this picture before clipping my ends and you can see all of my brown has pretty much grew out.....here are results of wearing sew-in and deep conditioning my hair for a year straight.

So Lets Talk Transition Styles.........

1.) Sew-ins: are GREAT protective style you can switch it up to having long or short hair, you can even add a little color.  I usually have 22inches or more of virgin remy and I keep it in for 8 weeks,  also with sew-ins you can flat-iron, curl, and wash and blow dry the hair. Your real hair is braided underneath and protected.....I will say that it is very important to make sure your stylist doesn't install it to tight.

2.) Poetic Justice Box Braids: AWESOME ladies for the summer......this style has became popular again thanks to Solange Knowles and other celebrities.  I love box braids for the summer because you can swim, workout, etc without having to worry about styling your hair after water hits it.

Creamy Crack Hair

So ladies here is what my hair looked like with a perm...picture on left was my original lenght permed hair with a jet black rinse...then I got bored with it so the picture on the right was me deciding to cut it into a bob and bleach it brown

in February 2012..I put the pink heart so you guys can focus on my hair not my face.....and yea I know right...wrong move for deciding to cut my hair into a bob......welp I haven't had a perm since the cut in Feb 2012 guys....Do you want to know my transition hairstyles...welp stay tuned....Oh by the way I have VERY THICK hair....and when I permed my hair it grew out quick.......please leave comments and questions...love Jess

The Beginning

Hello to all my lovely ladies out there who are wondering if you should go natural without doing the big chop?  I was told by friends and family that I should do a hair blog.........so here we are....I decided to stop getting perms after Feb 2012 which was the last time I used the creamy crack......My goal is to transition my  hair into a natural state without doing the BIG CHOP.  Now I will clip my ends to help the perm grow out but I refuse to cut all of my hair off........The key is to keep your hair protected and moisturize as well as clipping your ends so your hair will not break off.....It takes patients.........I will discuss products I use such as shampoo, conditioners, and  moisturizers.........please join this journey with me....we can do it together ladies.......Love Jess
